well, i had a few little videos and photos from the other day when Chase came over. But, im an idiot and accidently formatted my memory card.

Chase came to my house and we hung out a bit. I then decided i should take him to The Sandwich Shop. Which, is the same place i took Anthony to a few weeks prior. so Chase was pretty pumped. Chase ordered the same thing i did(hoagie) which has roast beef, avocado, bacon, cheese, lettece, tomato, salad dressing and onions. all those things might not be a big deal, but you dont know. fucking amazing.

afterwards, we came to my house and had a rap session about school and such. after our slight food coma's subsided, we started to shred. i pulled the box out and we commenced shred down mode. little boy a few houses down tried to get down with his Razor, but it wasnt happening for the youngster. some of the local teenage youths decided to watch for a good 30 minutes. i invited them over to skate, but they may have been a wee bit intimidated by Chase and my skill. eventually they participated in the awesomeness.

i guess noah is down here from SF visiting before he goes to NY again. so im going to try and shred down with him before he has to go. BUT, i do start my classes tomorrow which semi blows, but we should still have enough time to shred sled.

Theres been a good flow of skateboarding as of late. Oddly, not as much with Justin and more so with Chase. Im not saying its a bad thing that Im skating with Chase more. Its just Im usually skating with Justin. I do miss shreddin with Chase.

Spring Break session with an added Beach Ledges excursion

I have meant to update this blog with some shredding that had happened back during spring break time. buuuut, i got a bit lazy/didnt care enough. i thought about posting this on oh dear, but in spite of noah, im putting it on here instead. plus, i forgot the newer pw to oh dear anyhow.

Chase came up to my general area a while back and i took him to a school right outside my hood. i had scoped it out a week prior just for this set occasion. we were able to skate the whole time there, even though teachers were lurkin the whole time. it was also very dry outside and all we had to drink was Chases warm gatoraid. bummer.

Then just two days ago i picked up Justin and headed over to Chases house. it was a sorta windy day, but we decided to venture anyhow. i believe it was this windy because, the previous night had rained. we opted to go to the beach for a bit of the ledge fun. but, the beach was a very dirty sandy windy whore that day. almost made it unbearable to skate. but we managed some shit. then, it lead to skating shit murdy. which, lead to playing pool.

Yesterday consisted of chase calling me and deciding we should skate. This is how it went down;

Chase and i talked around 215pm and decided to meet at his house at 3. Fine by me, I had some things I had to take care of anyway. I got to his house at 305pm and he texted me and said he was on his way. He got home at probably like 330ish and got ready.

Thats his mom's cat. or, one of them.

We went over to Jared's house because Jared was using Chase's skateboard. But, Jared had taken the board with him to school so Chase and I hungout and shot baskets and played with Fiona.

Chase bought some wheels from me. 10$ a set. Not a bad deal.

After some time skating, Chase and I went over to the closest Subway where we sorta made plans for the rest of the day.

We decided to go to the library because I wanted to check out a book.

I went with Jurassic Park.

We went to Coffee Bean afterwards since it was on the way back to Chase's house. Anf was working as well. Cynthia happened to be there as we pulled up. She hungout for a bit.

Bun & Burger and such

Today I went to Bun & Burger to show you all the amazingness of this lovely place. Not to be confused with Bun N Burger, which that place is no good. Bun & Burger offers a good variety of food from taquito's to teriyaki sandwiches. The only thing they don't offer is a vegetarian/vegan choice. The closest thing i could find were either french fries or the deep fried popper things. But aside from that, the food is spectacular. And, for as long as I can remember, Bun & Burger has always been in this location, and I'm 23.

Old Spots

As I was riding my bike to go mail my unemployment check, I thought I would check out the surrounding areas old skate spots. The spots that I and others skating growing up.

^^^This double set is in Bay Shores. Back in the day it used to look mighty big to me. But now looking at it, it makes me wonder why i thought that.

^^This 11 stair is also something that was very daunting to me. But upon finding out that really, all you need to do to clear this is go fast. No real ollie needed.

^^^This used to be a 5 stair. But once they remodeled the building, they made the 5th step into a slight ramp. Even though there is a handicapped ramp right next to the stairs. The only good thing about this 4 stair now is the flat rail. The rail is low enough, but you do have to pop out before you hit the bump. Although, you can't really tell that there's a bump there.

^^^This 5 stair isn't really easy to skate. There's not a lot of room to get speed to clean the 5th step. Also, the top part of the rail used to be cut. So it was just that lower rail. I do believe my friend Noah wanted me to frontside boardslide the rail. But at that time, i didm't know how to front board. Also, this was like six years ago.

^^^I never skated this ditch, but I always wanted to. The only thing that stopped me over the years was all the plants and water in the ditch. Actually, a few months ago i saw some ply wood at the top of the bank, so I'm thinkin someone was trying to skate it. Nice.

^^^This isn't exactly a old spot. Only until recently, Chase and i skated this. I didn't really have to wax this ledge at all either. I have ate shit quite a few times on this ledge as well. Mostly just slipping out and landing on my back. Good stuff.
